So here are my Pay Day picks for the month. This little feature will give you a little insight into the things that I've bought this Pay Day or have my eye on. So let's start things off...
1. Sulphur Rip Jamie Jeans, Topshop £40. I've never been a big Jamie fan, I've forever been a big Leigh addict. I always felt like Jamie's denim was too thick and not stretchy enough to accommodate my big thighs (a gene passed down through the many generations in my family). After buying my fourth pair of Leigh's in a year, due to their absolutely appalling durability for those of us plagued with zero thigh gap, I sacked off the Leigh and tried my hand at the Black Denim Jamie. They are just about the most amazing thing, complete high waisted genius. The denim is much thicker than the Jamie, filling me with confidence that these Jeans will actually last longer than four months, which is my current record for ruining my Leighs. So now my Jamie virginity has been taken, I will definitely be buying this pair - all ripped and kooky ready for Spring. All hail the Jamie Jean!
2. Crinkle Floral Shirt, Topshop £32. I bought this on uniform last week, and those of you that know me know that this was a big deal. I literally only ever wear black. Black is my life. It hides all manner of sins and is basically the best thing ever. So this is a huge event, well done me.
3. Burgundy Felt Fedora, ASOS £20. I saw this online this week and knew I had to have it. Unfortunately at the time, it was being retailed at £15 due to a 20% off week Asos were having on accessories. Left it too late and missed the deal. Devastated. Will probably buy it anyway though, YOLO.
4. Petite Gingham Shirt, Topshop £32. Black my old friend <3 This is such a treat for the Spring months, gingham is HUGE this season, so an easy way to freshen up your wardrobe. Topshop are also doing matching skater pumps... Oh my god, send help, I'll have no money in my bank.
5. Revlon Colourburst Lip Lacure Balm £7.99. Boots have 3 for 2 on all make up at the minute, so I grabbed three. Oops. After reading reviews, I purchased the Rimmel version a few months ago and was really impressed. Apparently these ones are even better. I bought one matte, and two shiny (such good makeup terms, really know what I'm talking about). The shiny ones were Demure, a pale natural pink, Vivacious, a bright fushia pink, and the matte one was Standout, a blue tinted red.
6. Cutout chunky boots, Ebay £19.99. These are to replace my old smelly ones, which are scuffed to pieces. An amazing shoe, and a really good copy of the Jeffrey Campbell boot. Can be thrown on with a dress or worn with jeans/ leggings. Proper fave in my wardrobe! I also have them in the Croc print, oops.
7. Rimmel London 60 second Rita Ora nail polish, £3.99. Like previously mentioned, Boots have 3 for 2 on makeup, so I went mad again and bought three of these polishes. I've been a bit anti-nail varnish, for the past six months. I'm getting sick of spending ages painting them, waiting three hours to do anything strenuous, which could potentially damage them, thinking you're safe, then using your hand for the first time only to accidentally smudge all your hard work. HOW is this a thing. Anyway, I opted for the 60 second dry so fingers crossed (pun totally intended) they will prevent this curse. I bought Pillow Talk a creamy blue, Breakfast in Bed a lovely pastel green and non-Rita Funtime Fushia.
8. Dogtooth Blazer/Coat, Ebay £24.99. I've been after a dogtooth coat for forever, and decided to take the plunge with one from China. It says it won't be here until the beginning of June. Please hurry.
9. Platform Chunky Heels, Ebay £39.99 including postage. Well I've just about been lusting after these for months, but I'm still a little apprehensive about spending £40 on heels from Ebay, after my last incident in which they broke on their first wear. But these are a complete dream.
Until next time!
